New Training Program Launch

The Dairy Farmer Association Nepal is excited to announce the launch of a comprehensive training program designed to equip dairy farmers with modern techniques and best practices. This initiative aims to enhance productivity, improve animal welfare, and boost the overall quality of dairy products across Nepal.

The program, developed in collaboration with international dairy experts and the Nepal Agricultural Research Council, will be rolled out in phases starting March 2026 across all seven provinces.

Program Modules

  • Module 1: Modern Cattle Management and Nutrition Planning
  • Module 2: Hygienic Milk Collection and Storage Techniques
  • Module 3: Disease Prevention and Veterinary First Aid
  • Module 4: Financial Management for Dairy Farmers
  • Module 5: Sustainable Farming Practices and Environmental Conservation
  • Module 6: Value-Added Dairy Products and Marketing

Training Format

Each module consists of 3 days of hands-on training sessions conducted at local dairy cooperatives. The program combines classroom instruction with practical demonstrations at working farms. Experienced trainers from India, Australia, and New Zealand will lead specialized sessions.

Participants will receive comprehensive training materials in both Nepali and English, along with practical toolkits they can use on their own farms. Upon successful completion of all modules, participants will receive a certification recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Eligibility and Enrollment

The training program is open to all DFAN members free of charge. Non-members can participate at a subsidized rate. Priority enrollment will be given to farmers from underserved areas and women dairy farmers. Each batch will accommodate 30 participants to ensure quality interaction.

Interested farmers can register through their local DFAN chapter or contact the central office. The first batch begins on March 15, 2026, and registration closes on March 1, 2026.
